Marrakesh/Atlas mountains/Ait ben Haddou/Ouarzazat/Merzouga/ Zagora/Marrakesh

Day 1: Marrakesh

By arrival at the airport of Marrakesh you will find our driver who will take you to your Riad (traditional Moroccan house) or your hotel. There is the possibility to visit the Jemaa-El-Fna Square, depending on the arrival time of course. You will take dinner and stay the night in the hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Marrakech explore 

Today you will learn to know the city of Marrakesh. After breakfast, you visit, under the guidance of a French/English speaking guide, the Koutoubia mosque, the Palace of Bahia and Menara. In the afternoon you will visit the Jemaa-El-Fna square (the beating heart of Marrakesh) and the colourful and scented alleys of the Souk. Dinner is served in Jemaa-El-Fna.

Day 3: Marrakesh – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – dades Gorge

After breakfast we leave, by 4×4, through Ouarzazate, across the Atlas Mountains, a varied landscape and little Berber villages. We stop at the Tizi’n Tichka-pas (possibility to take pictures), at the height of 2260 m. We travel on to Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, the most beautiful Kasbah of Morocco, a Unesco World Heritage site. We continue for the Dades Gorge, Rose Valley en de palm trees (route of the 1000 kasbah’s).

We take dinner and stay overnight in Dades.

Day 4: Dades gorge – Todra valley – Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga (313 km)

After we spend the night in Dades Gorge, we travel along to Merzouga (Sahara Desert) through the Todra Valley. We take time for lunch and for a walk in the Todra Gorge. When ready, we continue for Merzouga.

​Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Erg Chebbi ” Cmel trek & overnight in desert camp ” 

We get up early in the morning to see the spectacular sunrise in the desert dunes. Than go back to the hotel to enjoy your breakfast. We stay in Rissani, where we pay a visit to the castles and the kasbah’s (tourist trip of 21 km through the Palm tree Forests). Followed by a visit to the Souk of Rissani. About 16:00 we go back to Merzouga where you can make a camel trip in the desert. For dinner you will have a traditional Berber Tagine. You will spend the night in a private bivouac (camp) under a starry sky.

Day 6: Merzouga – Alnif – N’kob – Zagora (313 km)

After breakfast we leave Merzouga and travel direction Zagora through Alnif, Tazarine, beautiful desert landscapes, oases and little Berber villages. We spent the night in a hotel with view over the beautiful valley.

Day 7: Zagora – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh (360 km)   

We leave Zagora and continue direction Ouarzazate across the Draa Valley en Agdz. In Ouarzazate we visit the film studio. We continue for Marrakesh through the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka (2260 m) over the high Atlas Mountains. We stop to take lunch. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant in Jemaa-El-Fna; you will stay the night in a Riad.

Day 8: Marrakesh

Transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
